As Vanguard Society members, you have already made a significant contribution to PETA's campaigns against cruelty.
PETA constantly recognizes new opportunities to help animals. In most cases that also means new resources are needed. Sometimes the extra resource is simply funding, other times it may be a donor's stock in a particular company, their connection with someone in a certain industry or with a government official, or some other type of non-monetary "tool" that will help us end abuse.
Because these situations arise suddenly, there is little time to send out mailings or make phone calls to find a Vanguard Society member with those connections. To fix that, we're adding the following special feature which we hope you'll check frequently to see if you hold the key to saving animals!
What we need:
Shareholder Resolution Sponsors
We need shareholders (you, a family member, friend, colleague, or anyone who is willing to help animals) who have owned at least $2,000 worth of stock in the any of the following companies:
Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc.
Ann Taylor Stores Corporation
BASF Corporation
Charles River Laboratories
Cheminova
Covance
Crompton Corp
Dick's Sporting Goods
Gowan Company
Gymboree
Jones Apparel Group, Inc.
Kenneth Cole
Limited Brands, Inc.
Liz Claiborne, Inc.
Men's Wearhouse
Nordstrom, Inc.
Nufarm Americas
Rohm & Haas
The Stride Rite Corporation
The Talbot's, Inc.
Target Corporation
United Agri Products

The shares need to have been held continuously for a year or more. While we often promote the benefits of donating stock, in this case, we need the shareholder to keep the stock and work with us to file a resolution.
